More Than Just a Movie Night!

At Sheffield Young Explorers, we believe activities should be about more than entertainment. They should create opportunities for young people to feel included, supported, valued and connected to their communities.

Our Dark Nights initiative has been designed to offer a positive alternative during the Bonfire Night period, when concerns around anti-social behaviour and community safety can increase.

We want to bring young people together in a safe and happy environment, where they can enjoy themselves while building friendships, confidence and a sense of belonging.

Through this event, we aim to:

• Promote safer communities by providing positive activities during the Bonfire Night period.
• Reduce social isolation by creating opportunities for young people to connect and build friendships.
• Encourage creativity through fun, hands-on craft experiences.
• Support positive wellbeing through enjoyable, inclusive activities.
• Create safe and warm spaces where young people feel comfortable, welcomed and supported.
• Strengthen community connections by bringing young people together through shared experiences.
