Level 2 Understanding Autism

Gain in-demand skills, build your confidence and work towards a recognised Level 2 qualification in Understanding Autism. This course is designed for individuals who want to develop a deeper understanding of autism, including communication, social interaction, sensory needs and how autistic individuals may require different levels of support in everyday life.

This qualification aims to develop learners’ understanding of autism and the principles of supporting autistic individuals - covering the person-centred approach and influence of positive communication methods, how to support positive behaviour, and how autistic individuals can be supported to live healthy and fulfilled lives.

The course will provide learners with practical knowledge, greater awareness and valuable skills that can support progression into further education, volunteering, community work, health and social care, SEND support and employment opportunities.
