Into Film Young Filmmakers Club
In Partnership with Into Film and Sheffield Young Explorers
Have you ever wanted to make your own film?
Join Sheffield Young Explorers and Into Film for an exciting five-session filmmaking programme where young people will learn the creative and technical skills needed to produce their very own short film from concept to screen.
Designed for young people aged 9-15, this hands-on club provides a unique opportunity to explore the world of filmmaking in a fun, supportive and collaborative environment. Working alongside other aspiring filmmakers, participants will develop storytelling skills, learn how professional film productions are created, and gain practical experience using cameras, lighting, sound equipment and editing software.

About Into Film
Into Film is the UK's leading charity for film in education and youth audiences. Through clubs, educational resources, filmmaking opportunities and industry partnerships, Into Film helps young people develop creativity, confidence, communication skills and a deeper understanding of film and media.
The Young Filmmakers Club follows the Into Film filmmaking journey, allowing participants to experience each stage of the production process while creating an original film of their own.
What You'll Learn
Throughout the programme, participants will work through four key stages of filmmaking:
1. Develop Your Idea and Plan Your Film
Learn how stories are created for the screen, develop original ideas, create characters, and plan your production through scripting and storyboarding.
2. Create Your Film
Get hands-on experience with cameras, lighting and sound equipment while filming scenes and bringing your creative vision to life.
3. Refine Through Editing and Post-Production
Discover how films are shaped after filming through editing, sound design and post-production techniques.
4. Share Your Film
Celebrate your achievements by screening your completed film and sharing it with an audience.
Along the way, participants will build confidence, develop teamwork and communication skills, solve creative challenges and gain a greater understanding of how films are made.
